Teacher: Mrs. Genevieve Peto

Fourth grade is a year of bridging between third and fifth grade.  We review both third grade concepts and begin to prepare each student to be successful in fifth grade.  During the course of the year, fourth graders will learn about the prophets of the Old Testament and the Apostle Paul of the New Testament.  We dig deeper into literature sparking a love for reading and writing as well as grasping a firm understanding of literary elements.  We dive into topics in science such as light matter and energy, as well as, building circuits and experimenting with magnets.  Students will experience individualized science fair projects that give them a better understanding of the scientific method.  A highlight of fourth grade includes science and social studies field trips and an Author's Café where students get to showcase their own published writing.
